Ingredients
  

  • 1 medium butternut squash peeled, seeded, and diced
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons olive oil or avocado oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder optional
  • ½ teaspoon paprika or cinnamon for extra flavor

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the squash: Wash, peel, and cut the butternut squash into 1-inch cubes, fries, or wedges.
  • Season: Toss the squash in olive oil, salt, pepper, and preferred seasonings.
  • Preheat the air fryer: Set it to 375°F (190°C) and allow it to preheat for 3 to 5 minutes.

Cook:

  • Cubes: Air fry for 15 to 20 minutes, shaking every 5 minutes.
  • Fries: Air fry for 18 to 22 minutes at 380°F (193°C).
  • Wedges: Air fry for 20 to 25 minutes, flipping halfway.
  • Check for doneness: The squash should be crispy on the outside and tender inside. Adjust cooking time if needed.
  • Serve: Enjoy as a side dish, in salads, or paired with a dip.

Notes

  • Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket for even cooking.
  • Lightly coat the squash with oil for extra crispiness.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat in the air fryer for 3 to 5 minutes.
