  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • Oil for frying (vegetable, canola, or peanut oil)
  • For the Honey Garlic Sauce:
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ⅓ cup honey
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 2 teaspoons water (optional, for thickening)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken: Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. Coat the Chicken: Dredge the chicken in a mixture of flour and cornstarch, dip into beaten eggs, and coat again in the dry mixture for extra crispiness.
  3. Fry the Chicken:
  4. Deep Fry: Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) and fry in small batches until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Air Fry: Spray with oil and cook at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway.
  6. Pan Fry: Use medium heat and cook until crispy on all sides.
  7. Make the Sauce: In a pan, melt butter and sauté garlic. Add honey, soy sauce, and rice vinegar. Simmer until slightly thickened.
  8. Coat the Chicken: Toss the crispy chicken in the sauce just before serving.
